About
About Me
Hello! If you're here, you may have a problem that you can't quite put a finger on. So why might I be able to help?

My curiosity in emotional awareness goes back decades. After completing an undergraduate Business degree, I still didn't have a clear understanding of why, or what to do with it. After almost a decade, I knew that something wasn't quite right. A major life event prompted me to ask tough questions and although I didn't like the answers, the price of avoiding them was too great.
I pulled the plug on that career, and entered the Clinical Counselling program at Tyndale University. Along the way, I was introduced to Emotional Focused Therapy and Family Systems Theory, which helped me put together some important pieces of my puzzle.

Looking back, it was necessary to embrace discomfort to develop an appreciation for the things I thought I needed to change.. I hold a deep conviction that many others are in a similar position. If that's you, please know that there is 1) hope, 2) purpose and 3) you don't have to go through this alone.
Go Through, to
Grow Through
What does "go through, to grow through" mean? Pain is an important warning system that something is wrong. While most people are familiar with and can recognize physical pain, emotional pain is also very real. However, it is often misunderstood and dismissed, or soothed before we can figure out what is actually going on.
For this reason, my focus is on helping you unlock the emotional information, to find out why it's there and needs to change. Through a blend of Emotional Focused Therapy and Family Systems Theory, we help you go through these uncomfortable experiences, to learn, adapt and ultimately become better aligned to deal with the real issue(s).
